Children’s
Chapel
Children are invited to attend a Children’s
Chapel service each week during the Sunday 10:00 a.m. service. A
Crucifer leads the children out in procession during the Gospel hymn to
attend a service of their own in the Chapel (downstairs from the
Church). They will return during the exchange of the Peace. This Chapel
service is designed to provide a child-friendly worship environment
where children can learn essential components of our liturgy and, at the
same time, give parents a better chance to hear the sermon and join in
prayers more effectively.
Children’s Chapel is designed for children ages 4-8, but older children
are welcome. Children will be supervised by three adults. Children under
age 4 may come at their parents’ discretion, but they must be
accompanied by that parent to provide adequate supervision.
Parents of 4- and 5-year olds: Please note that, the Sunday School Class
for preschool and kindergarten children ends at 9:50 a.m. You will need
to pick your children up at their classroom at 9:50 and then take them
to church with you, where they will be able to attend the Children’s
Chapel.
Volunteers welcome. If you are interested in being a lay leader or in
delivering the Children’s Message during a Children’s Chapel, please
contact Laurie Matarazzo at (908) 277-1814
