Ministry
Stephen Ministry, named for St.
Stephen who was the first to be commissioned by the Apostles to provide
caring ministry (Acts 6-8), is a system of training lay people for
ministry. Those who become involved in this program will learn skills
and develop their talents for bringing healing love to people who are
grieving, depressed, or experiencing other extraordinary stresses in
life. Through an intensive 50 hour course including lecture, discussion
and experiential learning, these people will be trained in the basic
skills for caring ministry.
The joy of helping others
and the responsibility for passing on God’s love is not just for a
chosen few. It is the privilege of all Christians, who have been given
power by the Holy Spirit for doing ministry. If you are interested in
